Brief
Mr & Mrs Hawkins wanted to complete the look of their beautiful home with a new front entrance door. After updating other parts of their property the search was on for a modern aluminium front door which needed to be equally as striking on the inside as the out – which makes a lot of sense when you consider as the homeowner it’s the inside of the front door you see far more than the outside!
Solution
The online RK door configurator on our website provided initial inspiration, being able to play around with designs, finishes, handles, and colours to create various bespoke aluminium front door designs. A visit to our showroom provided further reassurance that the RK entrance door system was 100% the right choice, although seeing the doors in person led to a slight change in direction. We were able to offer suggestions and tweaks to the design until the final design was confirmed – a metallic black pivot door with brushed stainless inlays and a sleek recessed handle with backlit led lighting. Two triple glazed side elements maximized light into the home.
Mr and Mrs Hawkins were that committed to achieving a balanced design with the large pivot door and side elements that the structural opening was altered to suit the new front door.
With this clear vision, we carried out an accurate survey, confirming dimensions and the exact door specification before finally completing the installation of this unique door and over a two day period.
